Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Atlanta peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Freedom waited on us and did a great job. He has such a nice personality! Very welcoming. Our food was delicious, fresh and a great choice to have in the airport!

Grabbed lunch here before an afternoon flight out of A32 and was seated immediately around 1:30, no wait at all. Had the shrimp and grits, which were rich and flavorful with a good depth to the sauce, along with a prickly pear paloma that paired really well with the dish. Coffee was solid too. Prices run a bit high, but that's par for the course at the airport. Service was quick and the food quality held up. Would definitely come back, especially if departing from the A concourse.

Came by some I had time between flights- Selam was lovely and got everything over to me with a smile. Though the wait might be a bit on the longer side for a short connection, it’s perfectly reasonable for the quality and freshness of the food that I had placed before me. I was tied between a number of wonderful sounding options but went with the salmon and added a side of tomato soup since it sounded wonderful. Both were amazing- the soup, though called spicy, was a gentle heat for me and melded beautifully with the taste of the tomato. And the salmon was tender and delicate- the asparagus and quinoa providing excellent contrast in texture. And considering I’m not usually a big fan of mustard, the amount and flavor of the sauce suited the dish perfectly and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I attribute Cat Cora’s great reviews to the server Jasmine who is friendly and cares about her guests. Oh I guess the success all comes from the winner of Iron Chef as well. This is not your traditional airport food but gourmet, fresh cuisine. I ordered a blackened shrimp Cobb salad with their apricot vinaigrette which was quite good and filling (thanks Jasmine for the suggestion). All the food and drinks I saw coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. I know where I’m coming next time in flying to Atlanta, Cat Cora’s terminal A.

If you find yourself with a layover in Atlanta, skip the standard fast food and head to Cat Cora’s Kitchen. I recently stopped in and had a meal that actually felt fresh and thoughtful—a rarity for airport dining. The standout was the grilled cheese, which was elevated with caramelized onions. It added a perfect sweetness that paired beautifully with the tomato soup. The soup itself was rich, savory, and exactly the kind of comfort food you want before a long flight. I also ordered the Cobb salad, substituting the standard dressing for a lemon vinaigrette and skipping the bacon. The vinaigrette was bright and citrusy, making the whole salad feel light and crisp. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for high-quality Mediterranean-inspired flavors while on the move.
